Meyer Brahm will discuss Mercer Island Historical Society at May 17 Rotary meeting

Jane Meyer Brahm will discuss “Life in the Past Lane: An update on the Mercer Island Historical Society” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s in-person meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. on May 17 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St. Attendees are asked to bring their brown bag lunch.

Meyer Brahm, who will speak from 1-1:30 p.m., is the author of “Mercer Island History: From Haunted Wilderness to Coveted Community,” the definitive history of the Island.

The former editor and general manager of the Mercer Island Reporter served on the Mercer Island City Council from 2011 to 2016. She is a founder and board member of the Mercer Island Sister City Association, and is co-president with Terry Moreman of the Mercer Island Historical Society.
