Oliver will speak at Rotary meeting on Nov. 2

Barb Oliver, director of operations and volunteer coordinator for Sound Foundations NW, will discuss what tiny homes villages mean as the first, best step to ending homelessness at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s Nov. 2 meeting.

The main meeting will begin at 12:45 p.m. and can be accessed at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4096976967. All are welcome.

Oliver’s organization builds transitional tiny homes for the homeless for the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI). She started as a volunteer with Sound Foundations NW with little construction experience for tiny homes. One day a month quickly became every Saturday, and she was hooked on the cause as well as the building process.
