Animal complaint: In the 7600 block of Southeast 27th Street, a man was walking with his dog when a pitbull tied to a chair at Starbucks charged him. The man sustained an injury when the chair struck him; there were no other injuries to the reporting party or his dog. The pitbull’s owner is unknown.
Sept. 11
Animal complaint: In the 2400 block of 76th Avenue Southeast, a dog bit a person twice on the legs, breaking the skin and requiring medical care. Police forwarded the case to Regional Animal Services of King County in Kent.
Sept. 14
Burglary: A resident reported that $235 worth of their camping gear was stolen from a basement storage area in a building in the 2500 block of 81st Avenue Southeast.
Property damage: In the 9700 block of Southeast 36th Street, suspects attempting to steal copper wiring damaged a T-Mobile power panel.
Theft: Someone swiped a white Aventon e-bike from a bike cage in the 2600 block of 76th Avenue Southeast.
Sept. 15
Fraud: A resident in the 9000 block of West Shorewood Drive reported that someone claiming to be from Bank of America took their personal identification. There was no monetary loss or suspect information at the time.
Found property: Someone found a backpack at the park and ride bus stop in the 8000 block of North Mercer Way. The finder was unable to reach the owner at that time.
