July 26

MISCHIEF: A victim in the 3700 block of 90th Ave. SE said at 10:58 a.m. that their mailbox was damaged by a possible firework.

ASSAULT: A subject allegedly assaulted a co-worker and job foreman for critiquing his work in the 2900 block of 76th Ave. SE at 2:50 p.m. He was cited at the scene and released to a company supervisor to be removed from the site.

PROWLING: A car prowl and theft were reported in the 7400 block of N. Mercer Way at 9:25 p.m. A window in the vehicle had been smashed.

July 28

THEFT: A rear license plate was reported stolen at 8:20 p.m. in the 8400 block of SE 68th St.

TRAFFIC OFFENSES: A vehicle was stopped for registered owner status in the 10800 block of eastbound I-90 at 11:36 p.m. and the driver was found to have a suspended license. The vehicle fled upon approach.

July 29

MORE MISCHIEF: A mailbox door was reported to be damaged and unable to be opened in the 5300 block of Lansdowne Lane at 12:11 p.m.

WARRANT ARREST: A subject was released from King County Jail with an outstanding Mercer Island warrant and booked into Issaquah Jail at 5:34 p.m.

ELUDING OFFICERS: A vehicle was speeding in the 9600 block of eastbound I-90 at 7:58 p.m. A Mercer Island police vehicle activated its emergency lights and siren. The driver eluded the police, but they eventually stopped the vehicle at 148th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 24th Street in Bellevue.

ACCIDENT: A two-vehicle collision was reported at Island Crest Way and Southeast 47th Street at 10:52 p.m. One driver was arrested for reckless driving, and processed and released. The other driver was transported to Overlake for evaluation. Both cars were towed.

July 28

THEFT: An Island woman reported that her bicycle was stolen from the North Mercer Way Park and Ride at 7:10 p.m.

July 31

MISSING CASH: $950 in cash was reported stolen at 3:15 p.m. in the 7700 block of SE 32nd St.

Aug. 2

MORE THEFT: A gray and blue bicycle was reported stolen in the 6700 block of 80th Ave. SE at 5:53 p.m.

Aug. 4

ASSAULT: A victim said she was struck by her husband with a cell phone after a verbal argument at 12:47 p.m. in the 9000 block of W. Shorewood Drive. The husband was arrested and taken to Overlake Hospital to be evaluated for a medical condition. He was booked into SCORE Jail after being released by the hospital.

MISCHIEF: The passenger front door of a car in the 9000 block of W. Shorewood Drive was scratched with a key at 1:27 p.m.

FOUND PROPERTY: Several items were found in a common area in the 2800 block of 75th Place SE at 2:12 p.m. There were no names on any of the items.

WARRANT ARREST: A vehicle was stopped for failing to yield to the right of way at 11:15 a.m. in the 7700 block of SE 27th St. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license and had two outstanding warrants. He was arrested, cited and booked into King County Jail.

Aug. 5

FRAUD: A victim in the 7000 block of SE 20th St. said at 6:24 p.m. that their credit card number was used to make fraudulent purchases.
