The Mercer Island High School boys golf team had three players who qualified for the state tournament but none made it to the second day in order to place at the meet.
Islander Shawn Tonkin was six strokes from qualifying for the second day of state but had to settle for a score of 81 on the par 72 course.
Patrick Dunlop also completed the first day of competition with an 81, finishing his season.
Islander Ian Code shot an 83 to finish the first day.
Ed Pepple summer basketball camp
Mercer Island High School varsity head basketball coach Ed Pepple will host his annual summer camp in the Mercer Island High School gymnasium in two separate sessions.
The first session is June 24-25 and June 27-28. Players in grades 3-6 will participate from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Players in grades 6-8 will participate 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The second session is June 29-30 and July 1-2. Grades 3-8 will participate from 9:30 a.m. until noon, and grades 9-12 will participate from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club is now registering for the following programs:
? 2005 Fall Tackle Football for youth ages 8-14.
? Summer baseball leagues, all games no practices. T-ball 5-6 year olds, Rookie Machine Pitch 7-8 year olds, Mustang Player Pitch 9-10 and Bronco 11-12.
