At the Dec. 11 Mercer Island School District board meeting, Deborah Lurie and Dan Glowitz (top) were presented with crystal apples by Superintendent Fred Rundle to thank them for all the work they have done for the district as school board directors. Also at the meeting, Rundle swore in new board directors (also pictured) Julian Bradley (Position 2) and Stephanie Burnett (Position 4), who will both serve four-year terms. The board then elected Burnett as its president, director Jody Lee as vice president and Bradley as junior legislative representative; these are all one-year terms.
