Jan. 12

Theft: A resident in the 3300 block of 81st Place Southeast can’t locate their laptop that was last seen in May of 2025 and believes it was stolen. No suspect information is available.

Jan. 15

Vehicle prowl: Someone stole a wallet from a work van at the Mercer Isle Condominiums in the 2500 block of 81st Avenue Southeast and used credit cards at the north end QFC to purchase $1,000 in gift cards. A stolen business credit card was also used to purchase approximately $450 worth of items at Wingz and Thingz. There is possible surveillance footage from QFC.

Jan. 16

Break-in: Someone forcefully broke into a storage building in the 3200 block of 77th Avenue Southeast, damaging the door and frame. No items appear to be missing and there is no suspect information.

Warrant arrest: A subject with two Mercer Island Police Department warrants was re-booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) jail in Des Moines for failing to transfer a vehicle title within 45 days and obstructing an officer.

Property damage: While driving their vehicle near the Mercer Island Community and Event Center in the 8200 block of Southeast 24th Street, the occupant damaged the landscaping and walking path light fixtures.

Jan. 18

Stolen vehicle: In the 3500 block of East Mercer Way, officers located a stolen vehicle out of Seattle. Soon after being alerted of the situation, Seattle Police Department officers arrived on scene and took possession of the vehicle.

Jan. 19

Theft: A resident in the 3200 block of 78th Avenue Southeast reported that someone stole her son’s skateboard from Mercerdale Park. No suspect information is available.
