Vehicle theft: A subject stole a victim’s car when she left it running and unlocked for one minute while she ran into a business to pick up a purchase in the 7700 block of Southeast 27th Street. It was later found unoccupied, rummaged through and missing the owner’s purse and keys. “Mercer Island Police Department urges the public to always lock your car and never leave items visible inside, even if you’re only leaving your vehicle for a moment,” according to a report.

Theft: A resident in the 3200 block of 67th Avenue Southeast suspects that someone stole vintage jewelry from the victim’s home.

Theft: A subject stole an electric scooter after cutting it from a bike lock in the 4000 block of 86th Avenue Southeast.
