Visitors to the Mercer Island Farmers Market know there is always something new in store.

This Sunday is the second annual Pie and Dessert Baking Contest supporting Mercer Island Youth and Family Services.

Local artists Peter Spahr, of Spahrzart, and Tracy Mintx, of Greenbranch Studio, will be special guests this weekend.

Spahr is a metal artist and Mintz works with ceramics. The two have worked together to create pieces just for the garden.

The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
