Aug. 14

Officer assistance: It was reported that an elderly resident with memory impairment was found in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street after getting lost. Officers provided assistance and referred to Mercer Island’s geriatric services.

Welfare check: A subject was contacted multiple times while allegedly being seen smoking drugs in front of a business in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street and soliciting drug sales to employees.

Aug. 13

Marine incident: A Lake Washington waterfront resident called police to report a boat anchored near her dock.

Vehicle thefts: It was reported that a vehicle was stolen from inside a garage in the 2200 block of 66th Avenue Southeast. The vehicle contained the victim’s purse and keys. In the 2200 block of 72nd Avenue Southeast, a suspect broke into the victim’s garage, stole their vehicle and used their credit cards that were inside a purse left in the vehicle.

Vehicle prowl: It was reported that someone broke into a vehicle and stole expensive tools on Holly Hill Drive.

Aug. 12

Officer assistance: Officers made contact multiple times with a resident in the 9000 block of West Shorewood Drive who was in need of mental health assistance and offered several resources.

Aug. 11

Vehicle prowl: It was reported that someone prowled an unlocked vehicle and stole items in the 8400 block of Southeast 40th Street.

Aug. 8

Burglary: Video surveillance showed a subject breaking into a victim’s home and vehicle in the 4500 block of 87th Avenue Southeast.
