The city of Mercer Island’s public comment period for the annual update of its Six Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is open now through April 21.
According to the city, the TIP covers Mercer Island’s roadway, pedestrian and bicycle projects planned for the six-year period from 2027 to 2032. To submit comments for consideration and learn more about the TIP, visit: https://letstalk.mercergov.org/tip-2026.
Comments received by Feb. 26 will be included in the agenda bill presented to the city council during its March 17 meeting, which will feature a TIP public hearing. Another public hearing is scheduled for the April 21 city council meeting, where the council will review the proposed TIP and public comments, provide feedback and adopt the TIP.
