The State Route 520 bridge will be closed this weekend for construction. The bridge will reopen by noon on Sunday to allow Sounders fans to get to the match on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Crews will be working to install 34 concrete girders at the new 84th Ave. N.E. lidded overpass. Each girder is up to 75 feet long and weights as much as 85,000 pounds. These are the last girders needed to install on the 84th Ave. lid before  crews can complete the lid deck.

Eastbound traffic to the north Evergreen Point Road will be shifted so crews can make room for the new median transit stop.

The bridge closure will begin at 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 and runs through noon on Sunday, Oct. 21.

During the closure, the Interstate 90 express lanes will remain westbound from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20 and then will change to eastbound at 3 p.m.
