Windermere Mercer Island has teamed up with 1 Green Planet for a special free recycling and shredding event on Saturday, June 15 at the Island Windermere office, located at 2737 77th Ave. S.E.

Recycling and shredding will be offered in the parking lot of the Windermere office.

The following items will be accepted for recycling:

• Appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators)

• Electronics (TV’s, stereos)

• Scrap metal and machinery (circuit boards etc.)

• Batteries

• Medical equipment

• Ink and toner

• Cell phones

Computers will also be accepted at the event. Any computer donated will go through a on-site data destruction system to clear any information.

Donations will benefit the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation.
