The Merrill Gardens third annual Taste of Merrill Gardens Top Chef Competition is Wednesday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Merrill Gardens Top Chef event showcases the culinary skills of the community dining teams around the country and allows residents and guests pick their favorite dishes. Residents at Island House will get to sample three entrees, two salads, two soups and two desserts, and vote for their favorite in each category.

The entries include Maple Chipotle Glazed Salmon, Mango Chicken and Dr. Pepper Braised Brisket, along with Wild Mushroom Soup and Shrimp Posole. For dessert, it is Red Velvet Brownies up against Green Apple Crème Brulee. The competition is bound to be fierce and delicious.
